He was NOT enthusiastic about engaging with us and told us to wait until the greeter came back. Not impressed. Also, the noise of live music and people speaking above the music made it difficult to speak to table mates over dinner.
We waited a long time to be served after being seated. The waiter seemed rushed though the service eventually improved . The food was mediocre and we didn't feel that we received value for the price. Also, the noise factor was uncomfortable.
The room is noisy because it's in an airport. The menu is extremely limited and the food is horrendously overpriced like $42 for a basic burger. That said the service was excellent.
The smoked salmon eggs Benedict was horrible. They cooked the salmon and it was stiff. Then, when I told my server, instead of apologizing for the misunderstanding, she decided to validate her point of why it was cooked and not soft and fresh. She never offered to replace my meal. My son's scrambled eggs were also left over buffet style eggs. Very dry and not appealing and did not taste good at all. Worst birthday breakfast experience ever. I've had dinner here before and server was always rude pretentious and self righteous so epic fail choosing this place to start my day off.
We had afternoon tea and dinner at the Globe@YVR. Service at both occasions was great. Food was great too. Afternoon tea was very relaxing. For dinner, table reservation is recommended. We had an early dinner, and it was just perfect for ambience and noise level. Overall, we had a very enjoyable dinner at Globe@YVR.
