Absolutely terrible experience. They advertise gluten-free shake options on their menu, but when I inquired about the cleanliness of the blender, the staff were incredibly rude. I explained that I have celiac disease, and their response was just to run the blenders under hot water. When I asked if they could clean it properly beforehand, you would have thought I was asking for the impossible. The woman deliberately twisted my words, implying I wanted them to run the dishwasher just for me. No, I'm simply asking if there's any soap used back there. She also kept questioning my diagnosis, saying things like, "Well, if you actually have celiac..." Yes, I do have celiac disease, and I already told you that.
The service was outstanding, and they explained how they prevent cross-contamination. They also offered gluten-free bread options.
The restaurant offers gluten-free bread and can wrap your sandwich in paper before grilling. However, they do use the same grill for all items, so they advised against eating there if you have celiac disease. On the positive side, they assured me that their shakes are gluten-free and free from cross-contamination. I tried one, and it was both delicious and satisfying!
I was informed that although they offer gluten-free bread, most of the sandwich toppings, such as chicken, avocado, and cheese, are significantly cross-contaminated. As a result, the food is not safe for individuals with celiac disease. However, the smoothies do not contain gluten, so those are safe to enjoy.
