The beef noodle soup was satisfying, with tender chunks of beef and a generous portion size. The popcorn chicken was also a good value for the price. Overall, the food was decent and I would return to try other menu items and their bubble tea.
I have had positive experiences during my recent visits to the restaurant. The service was attentive and very friendly, especially from the taller gentleman. The beef noodle and deep fried chicken dishes were delicious. However, the meat sauce noodle dish could use more flavor as it was a bit bland. I would return to this restaurant because of the friendly and quick service, as well as the lack of waiting time for seats.
While driving down the street in Vancouver, I unexpectedly came across a beef noodle house. Craving Taiwanese beef noodle soup, I decided to try it out. The presentation did not disappoint, with my dish consisting of 4 pieces of beef, the perfect amount of tendon, pickled cabbage, thick noodles, and 2 pieces of bok choy. Although I didn't think much of it at first, the consistent quality of the dish likely keeps customers coming back. The soup had a decent flavor, though it was a bit strong, but I appreciated the freshly made, hand-pulled noodles. A bowl of beef noodle soup at this restaurant costs around $10.
Food is quite decent here with average prices and decent portions. I would say the food gets most of this rating as the service is not too great. <br/ <br/ Beef and tendon noodles was delish. Thick noodles were soft but nice and chewy to the bite. Soup was flavourful. Beef could have been a little softer but the tendons were soft and tender.<br/ <br/ Chicken nuggets came out fresh, hot and crispy with just the right amount of flavour..not too salty. <br/ <br/ Marinated egg was also tasty. Was like an almost light teri garlic sauce. <br/ <br/ Service it wasn't all that bad but not the friendliest of service either. Tea was never topped up and not even a smile. <br/ <br/ Also can get a little hot in the restaurant. They need to crank the AC a bit. <br/ <br/ Parking: paid street parking only.
I've been here a lot before because I keep coming back for its Special Beef Noodle Soup, the staple food item I think that best represents the restaurant's Taiwanese specialty.<br/ <br/ What I ordered:<br/ Green Onion Pancake $6.25)<br/ Special Beef Noodle Soup $10.50)<br/ <br/ Green Onion Pancake<br/ 8/10<br/ V nice and crisp<br/ 2 pancakes 12 slices total)<br/ Lightly salted/peppered<br/ Not too oily<br/ Missing a little more green onion flavour<br/ <br/ Beef Noodle thin noodles)<br/ 10/10<br/ V rich beefy broth<br/ Huge portion noodles) for its price v filling)<br/ Noodles are nice, chewy, and plentiful<br/ 4-6 large cube sized pieces of beef<br/ Beef is v tender and has streaks of soft tendon throughout<br/ Several pieces of green bak choy <br/ Mix in the pickled veggies/relish! It adds a v nice slightly sour flavour w the soup <br/ <br/ Service: 4/10<br/ The waitresses didn't get our order wrong or anything, but it feels like they don't like their job or can't seem to care enough to look and acknowledge the person that's ordering the food. <br/ The majority speak Mandarin and English and some speak Cantonese as well.<br/ <br/ These two dishes are what I always order when I go, give them a try!
