That is a small restaurant that makes sushi. most menus are sushi, if you want something different than sushi, they are at the wrong place. it is operated by people, chef and server. they need a reservation because the restaurant is always on or above capacity. there is a quite large selection of sushi to choose, I am not a food tasting expert, but the ones I had were all great. the price is about per piece, so they pay a lot (I guess if they expect to fill themselves. it will take a past until food comes, but with the amount of staff that is expected. Although it is a small restaurant, it does not seem to have quite this small restaurant charme. for example, if they order the choice of the cook twice (omakase) they get two kopien of some surprise pads instead of two different surprise pads, or equal two portioned worth surprise pads. it does not feel like anomakase at this point.
Travel in richmond of montreal, and was looking for this place for minutes. When they were called to get help where they were after the Plaza times, they asked if I had a reservation and I said it wasn't for a... withdraw. they said: “It is not necessary to find this place that we do not take out”! wowzers, bad business skills. I would not suggest this place or try if I returned to richmond.
This place is as good as everyone says. the fish is fresh, and everything is as it should be in a small family-run sushi joint. if there is a thing that prevents me from staring, is that the service can be a little slow at peak times. it is really a mother and pop shop! reservations are a must. do not just show up getting a table they will be disappointed!
The husband and wife team has been serving their sashimi and sushi dishes for years. If you don't have reservations, you may be disappointed. They only serve dinner - and don't be late for your appointed reservation some walk-ins may be lucky and get your...table. People go for the exceptionally fresh and delicate sashimi. They must have a different source for getting such fresh fish compared with other sushi restaurants. One of my guests was afraid of getting a stomach ache and wanted to order some fish cooked. We ordered a black cod head hot pot and it was delicious. We ordered different sushi rolls - the best is observing what other customers order and try their dishes if you like what you see. We and our two guests enjoyed the meal - and we didn't even have California rolls!
