Amazing coffee, well worth the trip. Just don't order a half caf, extra foam, soy latte and you will be fine. Bring a sense of humour. Seriously the best beans in town!
In British Columbia, many coffee lovers flock to Starbucks for their caffeine fix, while in Ontario, Tim Hortons takes the prize for the most disappointing coffee I've ever tasted. So, discovering a high-quality, independent coffee shop in BC is a delightful surprise, especially when the owner is a charming and witty Lebanese guy with a no-nonsense attitude. It’s clear that years of interacting with the public have shaped him; he has an impressive level of tolerance and a keen understanding of people. The cappuccino I enjoy most mornings is exceptional—only rivaled by what you’d find in Italy. It’s amusing to see some overly sensitive millennials from Richmond complain about not having Starbucks choices at a small independent café, although it’s a frustrating reminder of the typical west coast mentality. But honestly, you'll find no coffee here for that attitude!
This place serves the best coffee you can find. I also really enjoyed the mocha. The coffee beans are excellent, so consider picking up a pound or two—you won't be disappointed. They roast the beans daily!
If you're looking for expertly crafted coffee, this is the spot for you. The owner is truly one of a kind. If you lack a sense of humor and feel overly entitled, you might want to stick to Starbucks.
