Alewife - Richmond

The food is absolutely phenomenal. I had the oysters (both kinds, but the ones with clementine and buttermilk were to die for), the ceviche (again, divine), and the scallops with eggplant. Everything was expertly prepared and the service was wonderful. The cocktails were also very good.

My favorite time to dine at this tier of restaurants is lunch or brunch, when prices are lower and the portions are usually more reasonable and Alewife makes a mean brunch! Our entrees were ridiculously good, and my **** Mary was STRONG. The only thing that left me a little underwhelmed was the dessert, but everything else made up for it.

I loved the vibe but i wasn't expecting all fish and tons of sauce. if you are not a heave sauce person then ask for the dressing or sauce on the side. over all very

Excellent service, high quality food, and reasonable prices! The fish dishes were the highlight but you really can’t go wrong.

Wonderful neighborhood spot you'd miss if you drove by. The food and service was excellent however the menu can be a tad limited. Was constantly busy so that tells you it's a great spot.
