Ay Caramba Mexican Food - Richmond

It?s kind of like a chipotle but more home cooked and with more different ingredients. My vegan burrito was excellent. The cilantro sauce was awesome. Habanero sauce very spicy, just like it would be in Central America!

I decided to try this restaurant since it was nearby a friend's place. We ordered margaritas (lime and mango), and both were delicious, but the mango margarita was one of the best drinks I’ve ever had. We had several drinks outside of happy hour, so they were $9 each, which is relatively affordable compared to other places. The chips and salsa were just okay; the salsa had a flavor reminiscent of pizza sauce. However, the guacamole was fresh and tasty! We also ordered tacos and spicy chorizo nachos, and both dishes were great.

We visited for a late lunch/early dinner after arriving from out of town. The salsa that came with the chips was just average, nothing special. We ordered a steak burrito and a cheese quesadilla with Pico de Gallo and black beans. Unfortunately, the black beans were bland and lacked seasoning; I had to add salt just to make them flavorful. The quesadilla was somewhat better, as the ingredients were fresh and light. The steak burrito was also pretty average. On a positive note, the two employees at the restaurant were friendly and welcoming.

This restaurant was fantastic! The atmosphere is clean, pleasant, and welcoming. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the food was exceptional! I highly recommend trying the queso con cilantro; it was delicious on everything!

We popped in here for an early dinner and it was virtually empty. The food was good with a lot of choice and friendly staff although one of them spoke limited English. It was reasonably priced and if we visit the city again we would go back.Food: 5/5
