Contribuisci feedbackToday brunch. my first time in this facility. I was in richmond host family and my daughter and granddaughter wanted me to try. the service was not so good. the waitress was not at all attentive. the food was good. I had the seafood fritata; but it was missing from the seafood department. there were 2 cloves and 2 lumps crawl. the taste was great; but the amount of seafood was very disappointing. I'm going back!
Hmmm. I found the servings to be small. While the choices all sounded promising I found them less than average. I had the chicken and guacamole pannini the bread was cheddar jalapeño with little flavour. The tomato cheese soup was better than Campbell's but not much better. The smoked salmon BLT sounded promising but was mediocre at best. Several other sandwiches were tried but nothing exciting. All served with homemade chips which were greasy. Sweet potato fries came with a good dipping sauce Desserts were better but I don't think worthy of great reviews. Had the Jamaican crepes they were good a little too sweet. Apple pie was good would have been better if it was warm. The...read more
A Losing Battle. At one point in time I feel like you got a lot of bang for your buck.. However, now they hide smaller proportions behind presentation and plating. Pricing in general has also gone up to accommodate a slowing in sales and as a customer I simply have to ask: where's the added value I'm also not in love with the Baker's Crust brand/concept. I could really care less that the bread is baked fresh in Virginia Beach and trucked to Richmond each day. How much is this costing in gas and when and where do rising gas prices get passed along to the customer? There has to be a decent bakery in the Richmond-region that can supplant the need for such trucking The menu also...read more
Great atmosphere and food. I brought my wife to Carytown for dinner and a movie at the Byrd Theatre. We were pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff and ambiance as we walked in. The food was amazing and very reasonably priced. The server was attentive and we didn't have to wait long at all for our meal. This restaurant is a wonderful place for couples or families with kids.
Beyond the basics. They feature fresh, fine ingredients and imaginative entrees. The menu is diverse with plenty of vegetarian options, such as the roasted veggie panini or the apple brie bruschetta. This place is a bakery-restaurant so the sandwiches and paninis on the menu are made with their delicious breads. There are plenty of homemade pastries to choose from as well. Try one with a white mocha coffee or an espresso served in the traditional manner, with a lemon rind twist. Breakfast is served until 11a, which was a slight dissapointment the last time we visited around 1p because I was counting on a huge and delicious omelette. Whether breakfast or lunch, I've always been delighted...read more
