Hogshead Cafe - Richmond

I recall an old coworker recommending this place to me. When I moved to the West End, it was one of the first spots I ordered from, and I have to say—YUM! I've tried a few items from the menu, but the beer cheese crab pretzel is absolutely fantastic! It's massive too! Another favorite of mine is the chicken tiki tacos paired with a side of ranch. I love introducing this restaurant to friends when they visit. They also have a lovely outdoor seating area!

A must-visit in Richmond! We visited on a Sunday when the place was quite busy, and although they were a bit understaffed, they managed everything beautifully! The service was quick, and the food was incredible. We ordered the hog dog and hog burger. Edith, the bartender, made my dream of a blackberry limeade come true, and it was AMAZING. Thank you!

If you're looking for an authentic Southern dining experience, this restaurant is the perfect choice. From the sweet tea and limeades to the chili cheese fries, hog sampler, hush puppies, blackberry cobbler, and banana pudding, the menu offers a wide variety of delicious options. I particularly enjoyed the crab cakes and catfish, which are also worth trying. We left the restaurant completely stuffed, and I can't forget to mention the wings, both barbecue and hot—they were fantastic! It was a lot of food, but we had a wonderful time. I highly recommend visiting Hogshead Cafe for a true taste of Southern cuisine!

I’ve discovered a new favorite appetizer: the Hogsheads Crab Pretzel! It’s absolutely delightful. I also tried the Fried Pickles, Catfish Reuben, and Buffalo Oyster Po'boy, and they were all fantastic! You have to give them a try!
