Instabowl - Richmond

What happened to this place! The vegan crabby patties used to be my favorite thing in richmond, hoping perch is still good... I ordered instabowl today and my order was 90% inedible (see images), the crabcakes were so fried (I swear they were baked or griddled before) that they were nothing but a hard shell with no filling, the veggies were so overcooked that they were mush.. then, while mine was so overcooked, my friend got salsa that was just slime with a white film, visibly gone bad, and the spicy chicken on her bowl was raw still! Totally insane! The only edible things of both meals combined were the shrimp, rice and chickpeas and even all that had gotten saltier and the shrimp tinier. I actually cant believe how terrible the food was. We literally threw out most of it. The only thing we ate was the rice and chickpeas and the shrimp. Wow, I hope they fix these issues. I really wanted to give 2 stars at least bc I used to love this place but I realized in reality if you have to throw out most of your meal then really it's a one star place.

Was really excited to eat here again while back in town but it's gone from a 4/5 star place to a true one star. The food was inedible. Every item was fried beyond belief to the point of the fillings being hard and slightly evaporated on the lumpia and the chicken being too hard to eat and actually black on the outside and just covered in dripping oil. Almost bizarre how badly this restaurant has gone downhill, I'm wondering if it's even still the same owners since some of the recipes seem the same but the items are no longer cooked or prepared properly. Also, everything was just laden with salt, the flavors used to be so great. Would not recommend this place if you are looking for a good meal.

Food is so good it might be my new favorite spot! You can taste the quality of the ingredients.But the best part for me and why I'm writing a review is because we ordered from uber eats and the way everything was packaged kept the food from getting gross or smooshed in transit. Fries are still crispy, wrap is still warm, everything was labeled clearly... I am so thankful. One of my biggest pet peeves of togo food is when someone ruins it with a Styrofoam box. Getting food delivered is always hit or miss, but this was a big hit. I will definitely be ordering again soon!

The food was fabulous! We ordered dinner to go, and it was so much better than we even expected! The portions were also very generous, and the vegetarian options didn't feel like an afterthought. The mushrooms soup, vegan crabby patty, and lumpia were delicious. We loved it. New favorite takeout place.

Absolutely disgusting. Fries dry as hell, chicken and lumpia was BURNT AF. First and last time.
