The oysters were very good. had that trio, rockefellers were the best I ever had. the service was very fast, even for a Friday night.Entrees were not so good. gator cakes were strange and unpleasant. my first gator, but not what I expected. fried catfish was with beerbatter and not well married. hush puppies were understated. roasted boobs were so salty. cabernet wein was bland. suggestion when they go, they will stay at the oysters and beer and they will not be disappointed. they remain clear from at least the above mentioned entreen.
Shrimp po boy is pretty tasty, as were the gator bites. The red beans and rice were...ok...but not spectacular.
Go for brunch!. My first experience at Lady N'awlins wasn't anything spectacular: Went for dinner, ordered the Grillades and Grits and wasn't too impressed. Went for brunch on a Saturday afternoon and was totally blown away. Lots of unique Cajun dishes to choose from. We tried the Gator, Crawfish and Andouille Cheesecake(which was basically a crustless quiche), the Crawfish and Andouille Crepes and the Oysters Rockefeller Eggs Benedict. All were absolutely fantastic. Really, I can't say enough good things about these dishes. Lady N'awlins is must-try for weekend brunch.
Shrimps and Grits were awesome! A must try! The place is a little small but great atmosphere! We will be back!
