Margaritas Cantina - Richmond

If you are in search of a Tex-Mex restaurant, this is not the place for you. This Mexican restaurant had a dingy bar atmosphere with loud rap music playing. The bartender seemed intoxicated and spent more time selecting music on the jukebox than making our drinks. Despite asking me twice what I wanted, she made me a daiquiri instead of the margarita I ordered. She also served the wrong beer to my friend twice, and did not attempt to correct the mistake. Overall, the service was unprofessional and unimpressive.

Ashanti was our bartender and she was very attentive and so sweet. Good happy hour! will surely come back.

This restaurant was a fun place to visit. My best friend and I went during the week, so it was quiet and not as busy as it would be in the evening or on the weekend. We tried the margaritas, which were good and you could definitely taste the tequila in them! For an appetizer, we shared the nacho cheese rings and they were excellent! They were super crispy and came with salsa, salad, and cheese. I had the crispy beef taco and we also tried the chicken wings with parmesan garlic sauce on the side. The menu claims the wings are fresh, never frozen, and they were so delicious that we got some to take home for later. They add a 15% gratuity to the bill, so keep that in mind before adding your own tip. We would definitely return to this restaurant.

I was only impressed by the decor of this restaurant. I have been coming here regularly, from happy hour on Fridays to special holidays, just for drinks. Unfortunately, the bar offerings are subpar. However, the customer service and staff are friendly. Last Friday, I waited for 40 minutes at the bar before the bartender finally noticed me, only to disappear again shortly after. This was my final visit as I have experienced similar terrible service at other locations, not to mention the lack of a 15% gratuity included. No thank you.

Accidentally ran up on this place yesterday and loved it. Happy hour food, drinks, and atmosphere are fire. Place made me feel like I was in Mexico having a good time. Shout out to the bartender Jessica/Jennifer(can't remember the name), her drinks were on point. I also had surf and turf quesadillas and they were awesome.
