I picked up 2 wraps and 2 smoothies to meet my friend for her lunch break. Service was very nice, place looked nice. I'm sure they're all very nice people here. I cannot understand or fathom why anyone would use walnuts as a meat substitute. Im shocked by the good reviews about the wraps. I think the concept of these wraps makes absolutely no sense. I hated both of them so much. I'm shuddering thinking about the taste. We did not eat them. We got the Sante Fe and the Teriyaki wraps. The Teriyaki wrap was weirdly sweet, and dry, and every bite was full of walnuts. I tried my friends thinking there was no way it could be as bad and somehow was worse. It tasted like off chilli full of walnuts. I'm so shocked that someone created this idea and thought it was good and that people like it. I felt legitimately offended by the food. I feel bad writing this review cause I'm always wanting local business to thrive and I'm sure the juices are delicious, my friends smoothie was great, but I got a smoothie that was bland and tasted exactly like the wrap. I cannot believe I paid like 50 bucks for this and that it was so almost comically unpleasant.
I found this place while I was visiting Richmond and needed my smoothie bowl fix! The Beet Box has excellent smoothie bowls and smoothies. The service was fast and friendly, and the atmosphere was hip and inviting! I will be back when I’m next in Richmond!
On my way back to DC, and stumbled on this place. I noticed the name Beet Box, so I knew they would have healthy drinks and I was thirsty. Well I wasn't disappointed. Not only was the juice fresh...it was good. Plus the young lady, Margo placed my items in a make shift icebox to help my juices that I purchased stay cool for my ride home.
Good smoothie. Nice service. Ambiance is neutral at best. Thank you for having smoothies without sugar added and for allowing substituting coconut water instead of apple juice.
