I was often here and I got a show, took a drink or ate. they have virtually every day (in the regular at night) live music performances. music styles range from dj’s, folk bands, poetry nights, jazz, classical rock, country and everything in between. most shows are free, but there are some who need an entry fee ($5-$20 depending on the night) . they publish these information in the rule on their facebook or online website. the camel is always a good time. very relaxing and flowering until her jam comes and she just wants to dance. I recommend visiting at least once.
The camel is a first-class small place for live music. the owners have created a friendly bar/restaurant atmosphere that presents a lot of bands. in the course of the years the owners have supported the rcbs river city blues society, presented numerous established bands and also have local after-growth musicians with the opportunity to play before a live audience on the stage. in the course of the years I noticed the support of camels visual artists as well as musical artists. the works of art on the walls were as diverse as the genres of the bands that occur on the stage. in addition, the camels eat delicious. the menu offers many possibilities and the havarti mushroom burger is the best burger I have ever eaten, hands down. beer from local crafts breweries is on tape. waitstaff is attentive and needs the time to get to know the repetition customers. my man and I have seen countless quality shows and eaten many delicious meals in the camel. to the Camel owners and employees: we appreciate everything they do to make this a pleasant place.

Food and drink were fantastic. An intimate and relaxed setting for dinner and a show. Had one of the best burgers I've ever eaten (Havarti and mushroom), and the crab dip was a tasty appetizer. Their on-tap beer selection is impressive and diverse. I highly recommend this place.
The Camel is one of the last remaining bastions of true live music in Virginia. It's funky, intimate, and very accessible to music lovers. They also have an excellent kitchen and a wide selection of beer, wine, and booze..
