It's a pleasant surprise to find a Sazerac on the menu in Richmond. The food has a strong Cajun influence. I ordered the crab cake and jambalaya, but I found large pieces of uncooked celery in the dish. I would definitely return for the beer and drinks.
The food was nothing like true Cajun or Creole cuisine. I found it quite disappointing.
The Cajun Kitchen was a letdown in terms of taste and flavor. After spending 18 years in Louisiana, I found my meal here to be very disappointing. I ordered the Muffuletta sandwich, and I can confidently say that no one in Louisiana would ever recognize it as a true Muffuletta! It was served cold, with thick slices of meat, almost no olive mix, minimal cheese, and an excess of broth. I've never encountered a cold Muffuletta before. The service was good, and I believe it's a decent place for cash, but if you're looking for authentic Cajun food, I would recommend looking elsewhere.
Great place to hang up and eating was from this world. will come back when I'm back in the Richmond area.
Nice place in the corner with only a hand full parking spaces. Staff was super friendly and head chef came out to speak to us and sample some cheese. Very quiet nice and just nice for two couples to chat and have dinner. I recommend the gator burger.
