Great service and food. Was the value and a great way to spend Christmas.
Christmas Brunch was a well organized and pleasantly presented food. Breakfast items contain apple wood smoked bacon, blueberries infused sausage, grits, oat flour, meal, agitated eggs and more. The lunch price was even more special with split, crab legs, prime rib, “impossible” meat leaflets, several fish varieties and more. I could not mention the plentiful desserts, because I was too full to enjoy! However, I will point out that they had self-made peppermint ice cream. Drink options include excellent coffee, juices and unlimited mimosas. Stephanie was excellent as our server; very attentive, attentive and attentive. We have never been dined to Trevi before, but will definitely include this as a future choice for high-quality food in Richmond. MINOR disadvantage was that some seating (including our) were in the atrium area of the building and this was rather a bit on the cooler side. We will return DEFINITELY, especially for these types of special events.
Let me first say that Trevi's Grill is a hotel restaurant. The ambience is what you would expect in a hotel: not available. (Yes, we have dined in hotel restaurants that had an excellent ambience. They were an unexpected pleasure. It's pretty good for a hotel restaurant. My wife and I had Thanksgiving farewell to Trevi. You've still been cleaning up from Thanksgiving lunch, so the restaurant was a little deorganized. But our server Pete was very helpful and friendly. (Pete had worked about nine hours this day, so we were very impressed by him. We both started with wine — my wife with the Whispering Angel Rose and I with the Kris Pinot grigio. My wife really liked the rose. The Pinot grigio was, well, wine. It really had no character that is unusual for an Italian wine. Two stars for the combination. Our meals started with a small Caesar salad. This was very disappointing: a caesar salad should have crispy salad and preferably have the salad coated easily with dressing before it is served. The salad was limp and came with the dressing in a supplement. Zero stars for the salad course. (We refused to complain by stating that ALL the salad was probably in the same form. For our main course, my wife chose the crab cake and I chose the black salmon. We both said our entrees were excellent. The salmon was fluffy and moist and came with a delicious portion of rice. Five stars for the ducks! To dessert we decided to share a cheese cake. Pete brought us coffee and cream that proved to be milk. This DID elicit a complaint from my wife, and Pete gnädig brought her a fresh coffee and a pitcher with real cream (or at least half and half). The cheese cake was delicious and made the perfect end for the meal. The coffee was also very good and I think Pete had a fresh pot only brewed for us. Trevi works well for a good meal. Just avoid the Caesar Salat and the Kris Pinotgrigio.
Had to wait for a long time to be served although restaurant was almost empty. 16 pages of cocktails and drinks but two pages of food. Food priced reasonably but a glass of non premium Pinot Noir was $16. Noisy and cold, not a great experience.
