Had a beautiful birthday dinner both steaks were made perfect with a medium and a medium rare. was made with a free bottle of oolong tee as a birthday present of cafe bonbon, which was so thoughtful.
It was an extremely positive experience when we got into the door. I booked before the time reservations and told the restaurant that we have our daughters with us and that we bring our own Booster seat. they set up a nice table in the corner cabin with a plastic bowl and utensils for them. when we got the steak tart and finished the crispy biscuits/bread, without prompting again, waitress 4 gave us more to eat the rest of the teller. I was pleasantly surprised by the service! they also changed the appetizer dish before the main course. also the timing of the main course was perfect. I felt that they really pay attention to everyone. about 3/4 of the way through the main course, they asked if it was okay to serve the souffle pancake in about 10-15 minutes. it was nice of them too time to make sure that dessert comes to perfect time. the restaurant is very baby-friendly. for older children and a family washing room with alternating high chairs are available. for a worrying mom like me, these were very nice features to have.
The atmosphere was great. decor was great, but taste of the food was still missing. roasted chicken was not crispy.
The food was fantastic and unique but on the pricier side. We would come back for the food though as it was really enjoyable. The restaurant is on the smaller side but comfortable and welcoming. I would just recommend to the restaurant to find a spot for their staff to sit where they are not in plain site to their customers. When we dined here, it was for a special occasion and we are paying a fair amount of money for the experience which is not just about the food. Several staff were standing around on their cel phones or even sitting at the tables where someone would eat, on their cel phones, having a drink but probably on their break. It just took away from the experience to watch your server on break at the table next to you when you are paying a premium.
