Taftan Kebobs - Richmond Hill

This place has great food. Personally, I'm not the greatest fan of the taste of her coobideh, but I really enjoy her other food options, especially stews.

Were looking for some Persian food one evening and went by one place that was a little expensive, turned into a strip mall just to turn around and found Taftan Kebab almost by accident. Found their prices very reasonable so tried the Kebab koobideh and...was amazing! The rice was perfect, and the kebab was tasty, juicy. Have gone back several times now, everything has been delicious. Try the Fesanjan (chicken with pomegranate), only available certain days but we've gone on purpose on Sunday to buy it, its that good!

We ordered the koobideh combo dinner and koobideh with chicken dinner. The rice was average, the koobideh was dryer than expected. The salad was a good portion but the dressing was awful. The hot sauce they provide was just tobacco sauce. I won't be going...back here again. I much prefer the koobideh with rice and salad at the Little House of Kebabs near Major Mack and Leslie.

Prices for entrees start at $10, but it is recommended to look at options around $14-$16, particularly the dishes with 2 kebabs. All dishes are freshly made to order, so expect a wait. The sandwich choices are served in pita with a small salad on the side. The service is quick and efficient. The menu offers a variety of Middle Eastern dishes, such as stew and various meats. The kebabs are usually well-seasoned and juicy. Overall, dining at Taftan is a satisfying experience, but it is best to call ahead for takeout and be prepared for higher prices.

The koobedeh at this restaurant is fantastic. It has a full and delicious taste. The chicken and beef are also very tasty. The rice is great as well. If you're in the mood for a good Persian kebab, this is definitely the place to go. I have been a loyal customer for a long time!
