Touhenboku Ramen - Richmond Hill

Update: The quality has slightly declined since my last visit, in both the food and service departments. However, it is still a good option for a quick bite.

Personally, I love the rice, but as for the noodles, with this price, lots of better choices and they are all better than this place.Always good to try new places and probably will not come back again.

This establishment has declined in quality, or perhaps it's just this specific branch. I visited a few weeks ago for a business lunch and was disappointed to receive ramen in bland, warm water with no seasoning. I initially thought I had lost my sense of taste due to covid, but my companion agreed that the dish had no flavor. The broth tasted like plain lukewarm water from a dispenser. When I inquired about the lack of taste, the server brought us two dishes of salt without offering an apology. The location appeared run down, dirty, and the staff seemed to lack pride in their work. It seems like the owner may be waiting for their lease to end and close the restaurant, which might be for the best. I should have opted for the less appealing KFC instead. Disappointing experience all around.

The server is not in the mood,order 1 thin 1 thick noodles, out come is same size of noodle, can't tell its think or thick, order 2 glass of hot water, out come is 2 tap water.It is used to be the noodle has a haft egg, no extra $2.The mushrooms noodle taste is totally different than before.We are checking with the server about the stamp system, which used to be 10 stamps for free noodles. (Each bow of noodle 1 stamp)Now, we need to bring the receipt back next time to obtain those stamps.

Overall, its very overpriced for this quality of ramen. The broth was flavorless and bland. The same goes for the pork gyoza. I can see why it's so empty....
