Bilas Tandoori - Richmond Upon Thames

Boss is a bit shy and seems to scare the staff, but food is excellent. would have liked Indian music and decor, not beside a family completely out of control adults and children

We have been dining at Bilas for the past 20 years as a family. The food is delicious, the service is good, and it offers great value for money. We often celebrate our family birthdays and special occasions here, and even our children look forward to it. We particularly enjoyed the fresh mango dessert.

When we arrived, the reaustaurant was not full. We were just taken to our table and left. It was 10-15 minutes before we were offered the usual drinks, menus and popadums. Our order was not taken for another 20 minutes and arrived for more than 30 minutes. At that time everyone in the restaurant waited for a meal, but a constant farewell stream had been collected. No one seemed to be responsible or trying to solve the problems, and the waiters ran in all directions. The food was good, but don't go to a busy night.

The food's always delicious here it's not high end Indian food, but it's good and excellent value. We were a group of 14 people, including 8 teenagers, and the staff kept the food and drink coming all evening, with plenty of smiles. A great local Indian.
