Golden Lion - Richmondshire

My wife and I stayed at this hotel in leyburn market place.We were going on the gin train on the Saturday so arrived at this hotel on the Friday evening.We checked in and the bar and lounge area was extremely busy with diners.The meals looked very nice but we had eaten earlier so just went into leyburn to have a drink. The room was very large and it had a comfortable bed,hot powerful shower and was very clean and tidy.Tea and coffee facilities were in the room and a large tv on the wall.There is free parking in the market place opposite and chargeable parking to the rear of this hotel in a public carpark. The breakfast was served between 8 9 am and was very nice with cereals,yoghurt,fruit and the full breakfast was really well cooked with lovely produce.There was plenty of toast,tea and coffee available from a really friendly owner. Would thoroughly recommend a stay at this hotel its a pity we never tried the lunch/evening meals. Great hotel break in a nice location.

We had a delicious meal for 17 friends on a walking holiday together. The staff were really attentive. Everything was excellent.

Came to Aysgarth Falls for a girls weekend found this pub in Leyburn Market Square when stopping off for a cheeky drink…the bar staff Lynne and Kelly were so lovely we came back the next day for Sunday lunch and it was amazing and for less than £15 what a bargain would definitely recommend.

A lovely pub with a convivial atmosphere and welcoming staff . The staff found us a table at the end of service when they really didn’t have to put themselves out The food was hot, plentiful and delicious. We really enjoyed our meals and would recommend this lovely establishment.

Just had Sunday's lunch and it was beautiful meal they where very busy don't just turn up without booking a table you won't get it . We had roast beef two big homemade yorkshire's with all the trimmings couldn't fault it. Staff where very friendly...
