Mon Reve - Ridgecrest

I went there to eat. They denied me that without any explanation. I wasn't even allowed to order takeout without any explanation. The guy was rude to me. Guess I'll keep going to Independence CA for French food at the Still Life Cafe. Better food, better service.

We went to Mom Reve for a birthday dinner. My friend is a foodie, and so I wanted to take her somewhere special for her bday. We each got appetizers, an entree, and then shared dessert. I got the brie in a pastry puff appetizer (feuillete brie), and then poulet au pesto (chicken stuffed with pesto, cooked in a creamy sauce with curry) as my main dish, with a side of pasta. My friend forgot the onion soup for her appetizer, and the filet mignon (cooked in a red wine port sauce) with a side of ratetouille as her entree. For dessert we got the panna cotta coconut with mango and passion fruit coulis. It was all very delicious! The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful, and the food was worth the price. I would definitely go back. ? Parking: Free Street parking is next to the restaurant. The parking extends to nearby buildings, and you can park anywhere on Balsam Street if needed.

The French onion soup is something you definitely need to try. I’ve been to so many French places between this one thus far is the best.
