Aussie Backpackers Pub - Riga

I don't live in Latvia anymore so it was interesting to see if Aussie Pub is still a good stop for a pint of beer.... and Yes(! , it certainly is. Staff is friendly (as long as you respect them, which should always be the case , prices are one of the cheapest in the Old town, and they have started to sell more of the local craft beers, which was a pleasant surprise (14 taps cans in the fridge They have a massive summer terrace outside which is always a bonus.

I stayed at Forums hotel. Arriving from the airport I saw an Australian bar next door. Being Australian I thought it was a bonus!! Very happy I stopped here for a beer. The staff are very friendly and treated me as a friend. Maybe because I spent so much time here chatting with people and drinking way too much delicious ales. I also met some great people from Italy and England and had a few drinks with them. Though the bar area is small, the pub has a large seating area on the deck. Great to people watch! The price of drinks was fair and affordable. The VW comby van makes a great bar. My best wishes to all the staff. If im ever in Riga again, Im sure to drop in and stay for a while. Thanks for your friendship.

Amazing place. it was 9 years ago and also this year when I had a chance to visit. kind and interesting people who work and make the atmosphere and of course the locals too. a place where you can feel like yourself. :

Amazingly expensive, late open, and the bartender was really nice to us, despite ordering quite a few mojitos during the happy hour. Very cool bar in a great location.

The best pub in Riga actually, you definetly need to visit this place!
