The Good Father - Riga

We've been here a couple of times and enjoy this nicely hidden restaurant. It is a very quiet place, so you can easily have a conversation without too many people yelling over you. I really enjoyed the saxophone player who plays every day probably gets a break somewhere, hahaha. Our group ordered pizzas and really enjoyed sharing them between us. The waitress seemed to be covering too many tables, but did a great job working through the orders and bills. We'll be back for sure. Thanks.

Amazing food with friendly staff and an atmosphere to match. We had the duck and the beef steak and they were cooked to perfection. Thank you to the team for serving such a brilliant dinner

I would not recommend this to any one. The service was bad and we waited two hours to get our main course. After 1.5 hours the waiter said:” your food will be here in 8 minutes or more”. We waited 30 min more.. when the main course finally came the red wine sauce was missing on the steak. We pointed it out to the waiter, but he didn’t care. When we got the bill we expected to get some kind of discount due to the long waiting time and the missing sauce. But the just said that we could get a free dessert. At this time we had been there for two and a half hours and did not want to sit there any more. But the could not give a discount because as they said “ it is already in the system”. Very unprofessional and none service.

The food was very good and the staff extremely nice and helpful. Would recommend this place when visiting the old town of Riga.
