I came with my friend a few weeks ago. We had beers together and I ate fish and chips on the terrace because it was a nice day to set outside. The waiter was very nice, but he took forever to wait on us when I first got there because I came later than my friend. The food was good, but the fish and chips needed to have mushy peas instead of a salad. The atmosphere was good on the terrace, and I think we might have been the only ones there and the whole place.
Came in for a quick bite to eat before heading out to see some sites around the city. Sat in the beer garden which had plenty of seats available and had sports showing on the TVs and music playing as background noise. Good selection of drinks, only had one though as a hair of the dog! Food was excellent though. I had the BBQ platter which had chicken wings, ribs, and a kebab, all of which melted in my mouth. It came with a salad too but I was full enough from the meat. The price was pretty reasonable for what you get too.
That was a perfect match for a day. Good tasting Guinness with a Shepperd's pie in a nice place with a helpful and not yet annoying staff fits perfectly for a Sunday evening. The place is located in the very center of Riga. Spacious with a number of places in the street terrace, inside and in a large backyard. The backyard is also equipped with several large screens, where it's possible to watch sports.
Very good choice of beers and appetizers: try the garlic rye fried bread it is delicious
