Zilā Govs (blue Cow) - Riga Latvija

I can't believe we have waited so long to try this restaurant. This place has become one of our instant favorites after just one meal here. The outdoor eating area is a great place for a meal, but if you would like a more quiet upscale atmosphere, simply look at getting a table for two or a large group inside. The service here was great. Our waiter was beyond busy, but still made time for everyone he was serving. I had a Medium Rare Beer Steak absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly. My wife had the Striploin. Word for the wise, it is a big steak hahahaha. The steak came out on a very hot cast iron slab on a solid wood block. This kept the steak hot the entire meal and could even be used to further cook steak slices. I really enjoyed the side of the hot peppers, but maybe a little too hot for my wife. In the end, we made our way through the steaks...barely hahaha. It was an amazing meal. Thanks. We'll be back again.

We had an excellent overall experience right in the heart Riga’s city center. When we visited the place was quite, only one more table was occupied thus the service and atmosphere were exceptional and made us feel really cozy on o cold winter day. We ordered the carpaccio which was very tasty, a sirloin steak of high quality meat, juicy and well coated with herds and I highly recommend both. Will be visiting again on our next trip to Latvia!

Really enjoyed the chicken Caesar salad even of it was comparatively smaller than I'm used to. Great service from Art, a nice guy. Definitely get additional bread and a glass of wine.

Great food, good service. Definetly worth a visit. A safe choice if you are looking for a restaurant in Riga. I’m certain I will come back om my next visit to this city.

Excellent food, excellent service! Michelin, are you blind? Zilā Govs deserves a galaxy of stars! Their beef is a divine experience, cooked to a tender perfection that could convert a vegetarian faster than you can say T-bone steak . And the service? Let 's just say our waiter had us in stitches while dishing out recommendations sharper than a chef 's knife. If Riga beckons again, you can bet your last steak knife we 're heading back to Zilā Govs for another round of meaty magic!
