Toca Da Traíra - Rio de Janeiro

Great seafood. Tried grilled swimjo fish with butter shrimp sauce and traditional potatoes and rice on the side. The fish was excellent!

This place was near our hotel and our driver recommended this place for large seafood. So we decided to try this place and I'm glad we did. This place is very authentic Brazilian seafood restaurant. The crowd in this place was a mix, both locals and tourists. The service was great and they delivered us an English menu that made our lives so much easier. For apps we got the Toca mix, it was very good, the bacon was nice and crisp exactly as I like it. Calamari was fresh and you can say that was really high quality, and around it from the Tatar was really different in a good way and was delicious. For the main we have the Parmigiana fish (badejo) one of the best seafood dishes I had. This restaurant also had a very nice terrace where you can enjoy the great weather with some beautiful views of the beach of Rio.

Did not look so great on Google, we had to share the seafood plate, everything was really fresh and very tasty, really loved this place! Was so with the food that forget to take a picture before it was too late

This is a great little restaurant with a family atmosphere. The waiters are very patient with non-Portuguese speaking customers (thank you) and make crunchy recommendations. The food is excellent and well presented. But best, they showed the football and even changed channel, so I could see the game I wanted. Would recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Excellent food and services, amazing fish dishes and reasonable prices. Would definitely go back!
