Flying J Travel Center - Ripon

On October 11, 2022, I stopped by to refuel, but the passenger side fuel pump was out of order. However, there was plenty of space for fueling.

I just arrived and it’s quite a chaotic parking situation here. There's a bobtail in the truck parking, and the shop parking is rented out to locals. However, there is plenty of paid parking available for you. While there’s also regular parking, it’s mostly filled with drivers on home time and owner-operators. I even took a picture of a truck that’s covered in cobwebs and dust from sitting around for too long—it should really be in the paid parking or one of those rented spots. I can’t help but wonder if the employees are pocketing some extra cash from that! Anyway, it’s not my problem, but it might be something for corporate to look into. Don’t forget to check out the picture; I snapped one, but there are a lot of abandoned trucks here—plenty of empty trailers too, although the bobtails seem to be the most numerous.

Paid $20 for preferred parking since no free spaces available. Got up this morning and it took 10 minutes to pull out of my spot. Other drivers came in and parked where they aren't supposed to and the staff couldn't care less. Will never stop hereagain. Apparently they don't care if they make things difficult for drivers. They need to police the parking and make trucksillegally parked move.

The showers are quite small, offering barely enough space for one person to move around. On the bright side, there's almost no wait time. Everything else is great—it's a clean environment with professional and friendly staff. Denny's offers excellent meals at reasonable prices.

There are plenty of great options available if you're looking to satisfy your thirst, hunger, or craving for something sweet—whether or not you need to refuel your vehicle.
