The meat was a little different from what I'm used to, but it wasn't bad. Everything was well seasoned. You must apologise the lil piece Cornbread Muffin in the second picture. It was good! My favorite pages of everything that is depicted? Turkey collared green, green beans with potatoes and you guessed it.. the Yams! Do you need soul food in your life? Here it is!
Annie Laura has a new client! An employee of mine recommended this place, she told me that it was better than some of the other soul food competitors in the area and she was not! With the other competitors I would have paid $60 for 3 plates of food and I only paid $30! This place opened at 12:00 and I arrived at 12:07 with 6 cars in front of me (that has told me enough)! I definitely recommend this place for your soul food needs...and plus to understand that any taste buds are different; You like it or you may not. But Annie Laura is worth a try!
Listen! If I say this place has fantastic food, I mean that. I tried yesterday for the first time. The smashed pork chops were exactly right and so tenderly spiced. Mac and cheese were baked to perfection. The candied Yams were buttery and sweet. The dressing was delicious. If you want to eat quickly, don't come here. I wait about an hour in the car thru. It was worth it because I eat this review of the ride thru on my 2nd day, it in a row.
No hype here... thought the food can't be so good waiting wrapped around the building in a long line!! I was so much WRONG! If you're in or around Riverdale, airport, Fayette and Clayton County, you'll have to pass. Maybe you have the best soul food in town. Deliciously fried fish, pork lace, well seasoned vegetables and great portions. Over 30 minutes. Nobody's here. Be ready to wait... For the tasty of well prepared dishes! Don't forget Dessert. And as always, do not forget to tap!!!
First time visiting and Food was good overall. Couple of suggestions 1. Lessen the huge stems in the greens 2. Dressing is soupy had to eat with a spoon once my turkey wing was covered in broth pls improve the consistency of the gravy) cream of Mushroom slathered on top wasn't a good look 3. Cobbler crust to fruit ratio was off. We love crust give us crust vs extra sweet cooked fruit. Even tho the line was very long, the process of ordering and getting the food was smooth. I will try this place again and hopefully notice some changes.
