El Trigo - Riverside

The pozole was perfect, with just the right amount of heat. It was the best we have had in the area. The handmade flour tortillas made us feel like we were dining with family.

Very good food and service. A little bit on the pricey side of things (unless we're talking about the base tacos like Al Pastor, Carne Asada, etc) but it all tastes good. Complimentary chips and salsa. Fish tacos were good; we liked the grilled ones better than the breaded ones. The birria was very, very flavorful and super tender. Next time I'd probably get the soup instead of the combo plate though. The tortillas are made in shop and are amazingly soft!

We were pleasantly surprised when we decided to stop by this restaurant. The service and food were both outstanding, with a homemade taste that we loved. The carne asada and chicharron tacos were especially delicious. We will definitely be returning in the future.

I had the Pollo tacos. I thought the flavor was lacking, but my co-workers loved the meat tacos. I will have to try meat tacos next time. The service was excellent. It's a hidden gem for authentic Mexican food.

I am never disappointed when I come to this restaurant. It may be a small, hidden gem, but it serves incredible authentic Mexican cuisine. The beans are the best I have ever had, and the tacos are made with freshly handmade tortillas. The meat is always cooked to perfection - juicy and flavorful. The customer service is also fantastic, with quick and friendly service. We have been coming here since 2013 and highly recommend it!
