The portion size of the meal was generous - I couldn't finish the burrito in one go. The honey sweet pork had good flavor, though it could have been a little juicier. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.
I have to admit that I am partial to Cafe Rio, but I tried Barbacoa's honey pork with pineapple and it was delicious. The cilantro lime dressing actually tasted like cilantro and lime, which was a pleasant surprise. The salad was also cheaper than at Costa Vida or Cafe Rio, although it doesn't come with a tortilla, which didn't bother me. Another great thing was that getting a burrito enchilada-style didn't cost extra like at other places, making it a similar cost to Cafe Rio. The service was super friendly and patient as well.
I still prefer Cafe Rio or Costa Vida, but the salad I received was excellent and more affordable. There was no tortilla, and the cilantro lime dressing tasted similar to Italian dressing. I ordered the honey lime pork and it was tasty. The portions were generous and I particularly enjoyed the Spanish rice and lime rice. There were different salsas to choose from, and I selected pico and corn salsa. Overall, it was a very enjoyable meal.
Needed to pick up dinner for my parents and Barbacoa fit the bill! The service was very friendly and fast! Portions are very generous (one burrito is plenty for 2 people! Their honey pork is delicious!
DELICIOUS! This has been our go to spot for picnic food. It is great to customize exactly what we get down to the spice of salsa. My favorite quick Mex place around.
