It’s only a small place with minimal decor but they do authentic Cantonese style cooking in big portions, reasonable price providing great service. <br/ <br/ My highly recommended dish will be Steamed Free Range Chicken. The meat is so full of flavour, it has got the right texture to it, not too soft or not too chewy. We will never miss to order that dish every time we visit. <br/ <br/ Stir fried Pipis with OX sauce served with Shallow fried rice noodles is another winner. The Pipis are plump meaty, sitting on a bed of rice noodles. The rice noodles are shallow fried on both sides, crispy on the outside soft on the inside. The noodles soaked up all the delicious OX sauce briny sea sweet juices from the pipis. <br/ <br/ There are other seafood dishes keep us returning, such as Salt Pepper Calamari Whitebait and Mud Crab vermicelli with OX sauce served in claypot. <br/ <br/ Make sure you reserve your table for Friday to Sunday dinner to avoid disappointment.
Food is fresh and tasty. The black pepper honey pork spare ribs were great. Fish was also steamed perfectly as it was soft and sweet. Service wise, it was brisk and efficient. One of our oysters did have a hair in it. I should add the restaurant told us the eftpos machine was broken when it came to payment time however they do not have a sign at the front explaining this as a courtesy to customers. The machine could legitimately be broken the one time we went, or it could be a way to dodge tax inspectors who are checking 'cash only ' venues. Warning Be sure to ask whether they 're accepting card payments before entering.
Nice little restaurant with great food at affordable prices. Lunch sets you back $10 with generous portions. The food is very reminiscent of eating in cafeterias in Hong Kong. <br/ <br/ Must try: Singaporean fried noodles. Delicious flavours due to the curry powder and chillies.
Really good flavours, better than I expected from how the restaurant looks like from the outside.
One of our favourite neighbourhood Chinese seafood restaurants. No need to go to Beverly Hills more reasonably priced and less crowded here. They do the best free range chicken 走地鸡)we've had in Sydney. The ginger shallot lobster noodles and stirfried beef cubes are yum also. 2021 edit: After the ownership and name change, there's now a Chinese BBQ offering at the front as well. The roast duck is great and very well priced at $30 for a whole duck. However, the second time we ordered, we arrived to be told there was no duck left little bit miffed as they had confirmed our pre order a few days in advance. We had to buy the roast goose which is $40/half instead.
