The welcome and valet teams were excellent, and our room was immaculate. We loved the view from room 1700, and the soaking tub was a fantastic addition. The happy hour was generous, and if Rod is your server, consider yourself lucky—he was genuinely nice and helpful to everyone. I couldn't resist indulging in the hot pretzel with beer cheese sauce appetizer both days! My only suggestion would be to create a drink menu for the larger infinity pool; it seemed like a missed opportunity to showcase their fantastic cocktails, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages.
My family’s recent stay at the Marriott Singer Island was exceptionally disappointing, marred by a string of mishaps and service failures that ruined our vacation experience. Traveling with young children aged 2, 5, and 7, we faced numerous challenges that made our stay anything but the relaxing getaway we had hoped for. Upon arrival, we were dismayed to find a room that looked nothing like the one presented online. The promised view was absent, setting a disappointing tone from the outset. This initial letdown was soon compounded by a number of maintenance issues, including a broken washing machine, a malfunctioning kitchen sink faucet, a broken lamp, unsafe blinds, and a dresser drawer that collapsed, injuring my son’s foot. To make matters worse, our room lacked heating during the chilly weather we encountered, and the valet staff was surprisingly unwelcoming. Despite our efforts, our requests for a room change were denied, leaving us to deal with these inconveniences without any relief. The hotel’s response to our situation was similarly disheartening; while a front desk manager offered to refund one night’s stay and comp our valet parking, these gestures felt insufficient given the numerous issues we were facing. Communication with hotel management was nearly impossible during our visit. Despite reaching out multiple times to speak with a manager about our concerns, we learned that both the hotel manager and director were out of town, with no indication of when they would return. This lack of leadership during a time of need only added to our frustration and made us feel overlooked and undervalued as guests. The unprofessionalism extended to the front desk staff, who dismissed our concerns, especially regarding the valet service, which is apparently managed by a separate company. Additionally, we faced confusion about available services—such as laundry—and even encountered a beach attendant attempting to charge us for unordered items, further deepening our dissatisfaction. Overall, our experience at the Marriott Singer Island fell far short of the quality and service we expected from such a reputable brand. The inability to adequately address our concerns or to provide a comfortable, safe, and welcoming environment for my family is regrettable. I hope this review serves as a cautionary tale for others and encourages hotel management to implement necessary improvements so that no future guests have to endure what we did. In summary, our stay was defined by poor service, unmet expectations, and a lack of responsiveness, resulting in a one-star rating. Future visitors should be aware of these potential issues when considering a stay at this property.
We had an amazing time at this resort! I want to give a special shout-out to Tristan for making us feel like VIPs and for actually looking me in the eye and asking if I was over 21! I was taken aback and immediately joked about marrying him. Derek was incredibly helpful on the beach, always adjusting our chairs and ensuring we had everything we needed, even moving the umbrellas to accommodate the growing crowd around us. Just a heads up, I did lose my bikini bottom off the balcony because of the wind (I had it out there to dry), so be cautious!
We spent an extended girls' weekend at the resort and felt like royalty the entire time! From the bellman to the beach team, everyone went above and beyond to make us feel special. A special shoutout to the beach host, Jan, whose kindness truly enhanced our already incredible beach experience. We will definitely be returning soon!
The property was quite impressive. The food at the restaurant was outstanding, but the service was a bit slow. The pool and spa areas, along with the Tiki hut and bar, were clean and well-kept. The staff at the front desk were friendly and really helpful. However, the timeshare sales team was quite pushy, as they called our room every day, even waking us up.
