A quick main course on my own. Service a bit slow but otherwise enjoyable. Would go back.
I have been there a few times in the past few years. Still good but not as good as it used to be. We started with an oignon soup that was tasty. The touch of roasted bread with cheese was a nice touch. For the main course, we shared a portobello mushroom risotto, a pasta dish with cold pesto , a lasagne, and a quenelle dish. To summarise, everything was good, but nothing was great or with something of an original taste or an interesting presentation. This is not true for the quenelle, a dish close to my heart, from Lyon in france, my town of birth. Nice presentation with a separate dish for the quenelles and on the side, some vegetables, and samples of potato dishes. The side dishes were good and refreshing. My problem was with the quenelles. Even if you talk of a reinterpretation, it was much too muchy and not reminding me of the real stuff. For dessert, we had a tart Tatin and a crepe Suzette. Both tasty and both intertaining with the alcohol flambé on the top. Still worth a visit but I wish, the place was a bit more generous with some bread on the table or sort grated cheese on the side. Great french music in the background.
Small family style restaurant where all dishes are prepared by chef. All dishes were delicious.
Nice small place. Real authentic French food. Everything is made fresh from scratch by single chef.
