Ben Gui Sushi - Roanoke

Trying to fulfill a need to find the best Sushi in any given area I tried this location tonight. I also wanted to see about a full meal of Sashimi. Having never done that I decided that tonight would be that night. As I had Nigiri and individual Sashimi elsewhere but never a full meal I went down the path. I still didn’t want to go over my set limits like Eel or squid. Having that I requested and these folks worked around that request. I ordered the piece assortment. It had Tuna, Smoked Salmon, Crab , White Tuna and Albacore. Very nice large pieces and each was very good while allowing a different texture and flavor with each bite. Nicely plated and some vegetable garnish. Service was very good and willing to help with the request mentioned earlier. Attentive but not pushy. Started with the traditional salad with ginger dressing. For sure will be a go to at some point in the future as well. Good job!

Best sushi I've ever had. The trust me' rolls are awesome, great for beginners. I have one friend who refuses to go here with me. I dont like sushi he says... Well hes never actually tried it. People cant get over the raw fish. Half of the rolls on the trust me menu are COMPLETELY COOKED. I wish people would be more open minded because when I started trusting' Ben and his staff, thats when I started getting the BEST sushi. Thanks!

The best sushi I ever had. the trustful rolling of me are great, for beginners. I have a friend who refuses to go with me. I don't like sushi. he never tried. people can't get over the raw fish. the half of the rolls on the trust me menu are completely cooked. I never did that I decided that this evening would be this night. when I had nigiri and single sashimi elsewhere, but never a complete eating I went down the way. I still didn't want to go beyond my limits, like eel or squid. After I had asked for it and these people worked for this question. I ordered the 18 pieces sortiment. it had thunfish, smoked salmon, crab, white thunfish and albacore. very beautiful large pieces and each was very good, while another texture and taste allowed with each bite. beautifully plated and some vegetable-garish....read more

Nice! very nice! we called in a delivery for a group, so we had a lot of rolling and others arranged. all salads were excellent, especially the sunomono. really fresh! the Tempoura-Attarsizer battery was light and crispy, even after the drive home. the rollers were polished in short order, and everyone seemed satisfied. I can't expect me to be able to enjoy this meal as soon as it is prepared. the staff was very friendly and met my inquiries as we picked up the order for low-sodium soy and other trinkets like you. this restaurant is better than many larger names in larger cities. we will definitely come back.
