PaPa D's - Roanoke

This is my favorite bar. Great prices and people. The bartender 's shifts are set so you 'll always know how to find your favorites.. Although, they are all my favorites. Great food too, I love the Papa D 's special and their grilled cheese!! Also, I wouldn 't say that it 's a Walking Dead bar but I did come here every Sunday to watch the newest episodes with other regulars. I wish I could go back now for a big beer!

The bartender was super nice! It was late at night I was just hungry, I don't do bar scenes but he made me feel welcome. The food was made to order.

Ordered from uber eats. Ordered 2 subs, pork rinds. Only one sub was delivered. Called to complain. Told by Mikey we could come pick up other food, that there was no way he could get it to us. Said there was only the one sub on the order (see receipt). Said he had no way to get in touch with uber. And that uber were the ones who would have to refund my money. Wasn't Uber's fault I didn't get what I ordered. This order cost $41! Highway robbery for the one sub we got that tasted like ****.

My husband and I went here for the first time Friday night and really enjoyed it. It was a little smoky inside but not overwhelming. If you're not a smoker, there's a nice little patio out front with plenty of tables and chairs. The beer was ice cold and drinks food were all very reasonably priced. Our waitress/bartender was a hoot we enjoyed chatting with her and the burgers were some of the best/biggest we've ever had. The homemade chips with ranch were awesome as well. The cook (an Army vet) even came out to say hello thank us for stopping by. Great food, great people! We'll definitely be back soon.

There is a no smoking law in effect in restaurants in Virginia. Apparently no one told Papa D's. Walked in on a weekday afternoon and was hit with a wall of smoke, turned around and walked right out.
