I ordered a sweet and sour lunch special with fried rice and asked for the sweet and sour sauce separate the woman agreed and said she'd do this. About 10 minutes later the lady who took my order approached me to say they'd made a mistake and accidentally combined the sauce rather than having it separately. I'd said that I'd prefer it separately as per my original request I'd requested the sauce separate prior to paying and them making my order to ensure it was possible as it was for me and my child to share and my child won't eat it with the sauce combined; the lady looked frustrated at my response. She asked me to pay a further $8 so they could remake the order and have me take both orders home. I feel like I then paid for their mistake. I didn't want to argue with the lady, but wasn't really happy with this service. Please make sure you listen to the customers requests, and don't agree if you can not do the request. If you make a mistake while making the order please don't make the customer pay extra for your mistake and get frustrated with them for your mistakes. I won't be returning. Edit: I ordered one lunch order. If I wanted two of them I'd have ordered two... I ended up spending more money than necessary due to your error.

I have enjoyed kin on cafe food since I moved into Rochedale south from 2014. But last night I was very disappointed the plain rice was soggy and the honey chicken tasteless with no flavour. My favorite salt and pepper squid had no salt on it and tasted like I was eating a rubber Oshy. Standards have dropped. Sharing not to hate on Kin but awareness for the locals the food is not the same. Cheers Service: Take out

Decided to try after reading the reviews. We got the family pack. Food was ok, hot plentiful. For me personally, the let down was the taste of the food. I found some of the dishes, a bit tasteless/bland if I'm being honest. The sweet sour chicken was the best dish. The sauce was tasty the battered chicken was really nice.
