The dining experience did not meet the usual standards. The prices were too high for the quality of food.
The food at this restaurant was terrible. It was inedible - the salad was drenched in pure vinegar and the fish was overcooked to the point of being dry. There was no seasoning on anything, making it taste like bland wheat paste. The service was rude and the restaurant itself was dirty. It seemed nearly empty on a holiday night.
Not sure whether there is a change in the kitchen or other staff, but this visit for 6 people (restaurant only 40-50% full) was not good. keiles are no longer keile. they are discs. so they don't have to share anymore, but the price went up. steaks were all badly boiled to try and lamb. constanly had to wait to flag staff to receive attention and table clean up check service. - good night, not for what char white.
The best way to describe our experience is expensive mediocrity. We went for Christmas Eve and it was a disappointment from beginning to end. The food was a B which is too bad because it’s pricey, proving once again that expensive doesn’t mean good. The highlight for me was when they opened a champagne bottle (not ours) and it exploded and the champagne went all over our clothes and table and into my eye. The manager came by and seemed nonplussed that we were spending upwards of $350 for dinner and champagne was everywhere. She asked if my eye was okay but did not comp us anything (but did bring a napkin). My husband’s $40 pasta came out cold and the salt and pepper requested were empty. We declined dessert but our (very lovely) waitress brought over a dessert which was also meh. The dessert was intended to be free but showed up on our bill and had to be removed. I get that no one wants to work on Christmas Eve but alas, we’ve all had our holiday shifts. The best part of our night was our waitress, her assistant and the French onion soup.
