New Cantonese - Rochester

Authentic Cantonese dim sum! During my visit to the pandemic, I called ahead to place my order and picked it up at the supermarket. The restaurant was closed, but the supermarket was open, and the kitchen is connected to it. As a Cantonese, I thoroughly enjoyed my dim sum. I'm really glad I discovered this place! I’ll definitely come back when I visit this town again, and I would highly recommend it to others! (The food is fantastic—I especially love the pork ribs, tofu skin rolls, rice rolls, and chicken feet.)

Authentic Chinese cuisine that stands out from the usual buffet experience. The staff primarily speaks English as a second language. Dishes are served in bowls straight from a shopping cart and are meant to be shared. The kitchen has a unique approach, and it felt a bit shy during our first visit. If you're willing to step out of your comfort zone for your first meal, it's definitely worth it. We’ll certainly return for more!

I visited this restaurant twice. During my first visit in the summer of 2016, my friend and I unfortunately got food poisoning, which we suspect was from the pork dumplings. However, my recent visit was much more enjoyable. The dim sum was tasty, and we also liked the roasted squid, shrimp, tripe, and sesame rolls. The restaurant is located within a Chinese supermarket.

Talk about a Chinese yourself if you want to try authentic Chinese food, come here! Food here, unlike most Chinese foods, I have tried in the states that are Americans and very salty. A Chinese grocery store is located next to the restaurant. Also the decoration of the place is somehow outdated and illuminated, the waitress was friendly.

Sad that the restaurant is now closed and only used for grocery storage. Now you can only call for take out on the weekends. The food is still good, but it's sad to see the end of an era with bustling push carts, piled high with steaming baskets of dumplings.
