Sakura Home - Rochester

We visited sakura home for the first time tonight. they have recently developed a vegetarian and vegan menu, with many tempting decisions. I had the veg hibachi dinner, the mushroom soup and oldstofu, two other in our party had the rainbow veg sushi, and the fourth had yaki soba - all delicious! best Japanese food we had in rustester – we plan to be regular customers. also the atmosphere was very pleasant, and the staff was very friendly, helpful and happy, asking about ingredients to answer, etc. highly recommended! updated from the previous review on 2018-12-31

We waited approx. 5 minutes, while the receptionist took a phone call. Dining area non-hibachi was small, but nicely decorated. The waitress who sat with menus, apologized for waiting and asked for our day. Our waiter came about 10 minutes later and apologized for the delay. I ordered the sushi dinner w/eel and tobiko, no shrimp and no seeds. When he brought out the eel, he noticed the sesame seed and took it back. CATCH! He apologized and told me my sushi dinner was out soon. I drank hot tea. My friend ordered the Teriyaki? Chicken. It was very satisfied with the portions and texture of meat and vegetables. Price incl. tip about $75-80. Two corrections, 1 refill of the hot tea or switch to teapots and 2 place an additional waiter for the dining room. Overall, we were satisfied with the ambience, the portions, the presentation and the price. We'd eat here again.

My daughter had her 16th birthday dinner here. She wanted and had Hibachi for the first time. The food was great and enough that we all took home. Definitely rectified

Food and service were really good. Beautiful bartender and hostess. Red sun in the back seems closed and both Japanese and Chinese dishes are served in Sakura. Nice atmosphere. We liked to order both sushi and Chinese dishes. Do not be surprised to be sent to the bar, even if on time for reservation. Worked for us as a whole.
