It feels personal now. The delivery staff keep telling me they've run out of jug caps, which somehow justifies the unresealed ones, but it clearly doesn’t. Additionally, the beer seems so weak that I wonder if it even contains any alcohol. This time around, it took 1 hour and 10 minutes for our food to arrive, which isn’t the longest I’ve experienced. The pizza came warm instead of hot. Honestly, this feels like strike three for Pie Slingers. On a positive note, their vegetarian pizza and selection of beers are fantastic, and the brownies are delicious as well. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a pre-teen hangout, complete with video games and amusement-style attractions, giving off a Chuck E. Cheese vibe with a side of quirky bar-table kitsch under the glass. It’s nice and laid-back, though I wish they’d play some 90s indie rock classics; that would be perfect for lunch when working on the laptop. However, having dinner with family can be a bit confusing regarding service. This place really should have proper table service. They have a system where you pay before dining, and while you can order pizza at the front counter, getting refills on microbrews or additional food can be tricky. I suspect some of this confusion may stem from how the environment feels. For instance, two rather imposing metalheads watched my multiracial family during our entire meal, which felt uncomfortable and possibly racially charged. Thankfully, they weren’t employees—at least I hope not. Overall, the food can be great on a good day, and I appreciate the relaxed, college vibe from the staff behind the counter. Why should young people conform to a rigid mold at such a formative age? I discovered this place through a random invitation to like their page from an old college friend who happens to be the owner. She might want to consider updating the address on online maps to prevent GPS from leading patrons to the old location, which happened to us. It wasn’t a big deal since it wasn’t far off, but a more noticeable storefront sign could certainly help. I'll update my review after my next visit, hoping for a better experience overall.
Pie Slingers is our top choice for pizza in the Rock Springs area. The staff at the counter and the waiters are incredibly friendly. While many locals rave about the Philly Cheesesteak pizza, my husband and I adore their large classic crust topped with crumbled bacon and pepperoni. We've even taken this same pizza home to cook ourselves, and both options are fantastic! As a family that enjoys pizza every Saturday night, we consider ourselves pizza aficionados, even though we typically make our own thin crust pepperoni and bacon at home. Their Greek salad is also quite good and generously sized for sharing. Pie Slingers is a beloved spot in the community, often bustling on Fridays and Saturdays around 6 to 7 p.m., so it's wise to plan ahead. The place has a fun atmosphere with video and arcade games that kids and teens enjoy. They offer a selection of cold beers, including a few drafts. With several booths and tables available, we truly appreciate the entire experience.
The atmosphere is lively and enjoyable, with a great selection of beers. The ingredients are fresh, and the pizza is absolutely delicious—definitely a place I highly recommend!
They appear to be short staffed. The last time I was there they had run out of bone in wings and they didn't prepare the dessert we ordered. I didn't feel like we got our money's worth.
Located just off 27, you turn into Fieldstone Parkway, then turn right into the parking lot behind the buildings. They take up the corner building and have plenty of parking, including handicapped parking adjacent to the building. Walking in you will see a large bar for ordering, or you can seat yourself. There is a large seating area inside as well as a wall of video games. The menu is not overtly large but offers several speciality selections as well as the ability to select your own toppings. We decided on a half Kitchen Sink and half Godfather. Once we ordered at the bar we decided to sit on the patio. It's located along the side of the building and includes several umbrella tables. Even though it's near the highway the sound is not excessive at all. Our pizza arrived in about 10 minutes. The toppings are piled high and to the edge. Everything was hot Ann's treated fresh. The crust was crispy but not crunchy. It was between a thin and thick crust and held up well to the toppings. Overall this was a great pizza and certainly a good dining experience. We will definitely be back for more.
