Sajha Chautari Restaurant - Rockdale

We went here with family for my birthday. Great choice. High chair for the 15 month old, good service and extensive menu. The mixed veg and meat momos were delicious, and it would have been easy to order more. The nepali salad was fantastic. Good fish and chicken curries in super tasty gravies. Altogether, a lovely dining experience. Nice ambience, and BYO wine. Excellent!!

My friend had been raving about this place and finally took me there for dinner. We chose a variety of vegetarian dishes from the menu - most unknown to me, including Paneer Chilli, Aloo Chaat, Bhatmaas saandheko and a vegetable Mo:Mo platter. We had trouble deciding which was our favourite. The Bhatmaas saandheko is fried soya beans with this amazing sour-salty spice mix and chilli, and the Paneer chilli (they make their own paneer) was sensational. And you can't go past the Mo:Mos... It's very reasonably priced and the staff are super friendly and were slightly bemused at us ooh-ing and ah-ing over our food. One of them said they didn't think we'd be able to eat it because it was so spicy, even for them. We were the only non-Nepalese diners in the restaurant that night and it was about 3/4 full. I will definitely be back!

This was my first time at this restaurant and I have to say, I really enjoyed the food. The main course took a little longer to arrive, but that was understandable as it was a busy time. Please keep up the food quality, I will definitely be coming back.

My partner and I were going to a show at the town hall and needed to grab dinner beforehand. We stumbled upon this charming restaurant and decided to give it a try. It was my first time trying Nepalese food, and although I usually avoid spice, I was pleasantly surprised by our meal selection. The staff were incredibly welcoming and provided great service. I would definitely suggest trying this place out.

The food at this restaurant is amazing. I have been a few times and their dishes have an authentic taste. This is probably one of the best Nepalese restaurants in Sydney in terms of food quality and flavor. My husband particularly enjoys their thali dish.
