Graystone Grill - Rockford

The atmosphere is wonderful and the views of Aldeen are stunning. The smoked meats at the grill are delicious.

For appetizers, we tried the bruschetta, which was outstanding, served on warm cheesy bread with a fried goat cheese round. The hummus was decent, but we found that serving the freshly washed vegetables in the same bowl led to a watery dip. As for the main courses, the Buffalo Shrimp appetizer is substantial enough to be an entrée. I loved it at Giovanni's, and I loved it here as well. It's perfect if you're not overly hungry. The Nash pulled pork sandwich topped with cabbage was very good. Sue's Angel Hair Pasta, which includes chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, spinach, feta, and just the right amount of dill, was delicious. The Philly Filled Burger was well-prepared and tasty, although the waffle chips, while a fun addition, tasted a bit stale—the fries, on the other hand, were much better. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience at this new restaurant and will definitely be back. However, we plan to visit before September, as they close for the winter.

The food was excellent. We had a catered lunch that included a salad, a variety of wraps, and a fantastic lime cheesecake that was light and delicious! The staff was very friendly and efficient.

Excellent menu, service and atmosphere. We took advantage of the outdoor seating, which topped off the experience.

Food and service was great! A great hidden gem that we will visit more often.
