Gyros House - Rockford

The restaurant has a small bar with a nice looking interior. You can tell the employees care about keeping it looking nice! I walked in to get a takeout order, but they offer online ordering too. I got a gyro with fries and mozzarella sticks. The marinara sauce to dip the mozzarella sticks in was so delicious- A little bit spicy and chunky- definitely glad that I tried it. The gyro meat was fresh and they overstuffed the pita with meat. I thought it was incredibly tasty, although a little greasy. The portion of fries was the other half of the styrofoam container that wasn't taken up by the sandwich- definitely a good value!

I ordered a rib sandwich and fries for my mom, but the ribs were so tough that she couldn't even chew them. She described them as horrible.

The restaurant food was mediocre at best. I have had better meals elsewhere. The gyro cheeseburger was extremely dry and the fries were overcooked with no seasoning. However, the fish sandwich and Italian beef were tasty. The BBQ fries were flavorful, with the BBQ sauce being a bit spicy but still enjoyable. The portions were generous for the price.

Ordered a gyro nachos and it was fantastic. Wait staff was excellent at elimnating foods due to allergies and keeping food seperate since i was sharing. Stopped in after an Icehogs game. Ordered too much food! Delicious! Just know they are only open until 10pm not midnight like it says on Google.Dietary restrictions: Did a great job of helping me avoid gluten and nightshades.

Had the Gyro platter, Fry's and pitas for $15 can not find this anywhere else in Rockford I'll be
