I have stopped here many times and really enjoyed the food. The service has always been ok but this last visit was absolutely horrendous. It started by waiting about ten minutes for anybody to even acknowledge our presence. Only after I asked if I should just grab a seat did I actually get a rather angry we will get to you soon . I already had my appetite set for Harvard so I was patient. Eventually the bartender seated us and immediately got our drinks so things were looking up. However our server passed by us numerous times without even saying a word. 20 minutes later she acknowledged us by letting us know she would be with us soon.....her definition was different than mine. She arrived about ten minutes later and took our order. That proved to be quite the difficult task and after another five or so minutes she was in her way to get me another beer and the kitchen started work on our food. The appetizer was thankfully quick and I was starved and extremely thirsty. I was informed she would get me that beer I ordered 15 minutes ago but not until she figured out where the first beer had been billed. Really? Just get me a beer WHILE you figure that out. The appetizer was good and actually our main dish came out pretty quick, still no beer. The wing dings were way over done but the taste was still pretty good. I eventually did get that beer in time to wash down the food. So after an hour and a half I was able to have two beers and dinner and become incredibly frustrated. I loved this place but this experience will make me think twice before returning. I believe the bartender was doing the best she could, the food came out quick and was just ok. The server was horrible! The attitudes of employees overall were awful. I can say I am not big on doing negative reviews but I would hate to see this place go down and they need to know. I am extremely easy going in these situations and tried to be patient and understanding but please train the staff to treat customers with a little kindness and respect. An hour and half would not be a big problem if I felt like anyone really cared that I was there or not.
We have been coming frequently for quite a few years, and typically have very good service and the best broasted chicken around.Today, we waited over 20 minutes to be seated and we were the only ones waiting. No one acknowledged us until we approached the bartender to ask if we could sit down and were told they would be with us soon. It was around 2 PM on a Saturday. We waited another 30 minutes before our order was taken. Seemed to be a lot of confusion with the iPads they take the orders on. Had to ask multiple times for a second beer and our food was overdone (baskets) and clearly cooked in old oil. Did notice an employee arrive to get their check and they were readily served shots while the bartender did pull-tabs with them.Waited another 25 minutes to get our check. Hoping this was just an off day and will give it another try, once we get past the bad taste left from our food.
Owner is rude. Nothing like when her dad owned it. She's running it into the ground!
