I ordered a skillet with over easy eggs (I always get an extra egg so my skillets turn out more wet than dry. Just how I like em) and the wife got the gluten free lemon poppyseed pancakes as a combo with bacon and 2 eggs over easy. Our food came and everything to this point had been fairly decent. But my eggs were way overcooked making a very dry skillet. My wife's eggs were almost sunny side up and she said the pancakes had no flavor to them. It was a standard pancake with poppyseeds in them. Now I'm sitting at home and my wife is in the bathroom throwing up her whole breakfast because what was advertised as gluten free, in fact is not gluten free. The service was ok the staff was very friendly and the restaurant is clean and cozy but if your not gonna cook the food correctly or serve gluten free as advertised then it's all worthless. We will never be coming back and I warn anyone who is Gluten intolerant to stay far away from here.Dietary restrictions: They advertise gluten free but in fact are not gluten free.
Service was very, very good. Food tasted good and came out quick. They have a lot of unique options you won't see anywhere else. There was a lot of door county related things on the menu. They had a lot of healthy options which is actually pretty great. A lot of egg white omelets and what not. So if you're looking to get a lower calorie breakfast this would be the place to go. Their portions are fair. They use a lot of cheese, so if you don't want a big glob of thick cheese on top ask them to go light. For myself, my wife, and my daughter, the total was almost $60. They managed to take three $10-12 meals and upcharge everything else to almost double the price. I understand everything is expensive now but $4 for an orange juice? $3 for coffee? Then there was another $4 mystery charge added to the blueberry pancake, eggs, and bacon meal.Due to their healthy options I would recommend them. Just be aware that added on drinks are really going to jack up your bill.
Excellent food and service. I went for a late lunch, arrived 10 minutes prior to close and was seated and served, never rushed. Hostess and waitress were Great. I definitely will be back. Going to try the breakfast next time.Food: 5/5
Jerry's Cafe was very busy when we arrived, but we were seated quickly. After being seated we felt a bit ignored being that we stood out in the crowd. We waited about 20 minutes to be served. We didn't receive water, utensils or a waitress for 20 minutes we waited for as long as we did because we wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and took into consideration that they are busy, but we also couldn't be sure because we didn't get any customer service. What really bothered us while still waitingfor service a family of six came in and was served right away. We had to flag down someone to please get us a waitress. She finally arrived and took our order but once we got our food it was cold and thrown together. The staff was giving heavy attention to a certain color in there restaurant and it was very obvious and disappointing. I believe when a person has a restaurant that tends to get busy everyone should be a priority and we weren't. I believe that Jerry's cafe could do better when it comes to customer service, greet customers and make sure there waitresses and watiers are very attentive to the customers especially when they are busy and to keep food hot when arrived to table. To also treat everyone with kindness and respect because we all came to eat and spend our money at this location.
