Artizan Gluten Free Bakery

I've dined at several gluten-free restaurants while traveling across Australia, and unfortunately, my initial excitement when I spotted this place in a tourist brochure quickly turned into disappointment after trying the pastie. The pastry was decent, but the large chunk of what they presumably called meat resembled dried dog food and was completely devoid of flavor. The lamington tasted somewhat stale, as if it were a few days old. The pumpkin scones were just average at best. Overall, the prices were quite high for such mediocre food. It's possible that those who have left positive reviews simply haven't experienced genuinely good gluten-free options before.

Incredible and delicious treats! The staff is fantastic and goes the extra mile to ensure customers are satisfied. I've had wonderful experiences on both of my visits. I highly recommend this restaurant, and I'll definitely be stopping here every time I pass through Rockhampton!

What a wonderful place! They provide genuinely authentic gluten-free choices. The service we received was the best we’ve ever had in Rocky. Every dish we tried was outstanding. It was a delight to be treated as a valued customer. A huge thank you to the entire staff!

I'm baffled how this has got such good reviews, did they pay for them?... this bakery is soooo expensive, no wonder they don't display their prices..my wife and I order a sausage roll (spinach and ricotta) $8:50, a pie $8.50 and a bread that has cheese bacon and pineapple on it $17.50, total $34.50 .. I near fell over when she told me how much I owed, I said she made a mistake, no mistake... I paid for it... then the worst came, both the sausage roll and the pie was a bland as bland could be, honestly so bland.. the bread was dense and just not worth the money... so disappointed.. never again...

Love this bakery and the staff are amazing. They also do special order items for me including making a run of their spinach and ricotta rolls without sesame seeds (anaphylaxis) and even did my wedding cake a little over 2yrs ago which was so fantastic that no one realised it was Gluten Free. Their in store coffee is great. Sweet and Savoury options are fantastic. Fresh sandwiches yummy. The ladies that own Artizan will go out of their way for their customers. And I can't forget their choc chip cookies and lamingtons both of which I am addicted too. If you are in Rockhampton do yourself a favour and pay them a visit.
