If you appreciate dining in historic, grand old buildings, then this restaurant is perfect for you. Located on Rockhampton's Main Street, this cafe is sure to impress. Personally, I go there for the Aussie pie, chips, and gravy, as well as the beer. During my visits, it has been relatively quiet, but I've heard that it gets a lot of foot traffic. The bakery section offers the usual treats like vanilla slices, all of which are delicious. The staff is also very friendly.
The flat whites were excellent and the pastries were deliciously fresh. Despite being located at the entrance, the restaurant is situated in a quiet area of the city center.
Lovely friendly staff. Great food. Coffee is good if made when not busy as its been burnt twice now. But as i said food is good
The person serving seemed confused about my order despite it being on the board. After the drinks arrived (the coffee wasn't strong despite paying for an extra shot), she came to the table to ask which focaccia, again! After my daughter's wedges arrived another woman came to ask which focaccia as there were several. Again I said it was the harvest one on the board. I expected focaccia bread with a topping. I received a roll with mush inside and the inside of the top half was yellow from soaked in butter and included a hair! The roll looked and felt like it had been microwaved too long. It was inedible so we shared some wedges until a small sliver of green plastic was found in the sour cream. They even forgot to add the shallots to the wedges. I've visited Degani cafes in Queensland and Victoria but Gracemere was terrible and has left me doubting the group
