The Bistro looked like it needed updating and I am unsure if this is part of the renovations that are occurring at the club currently. The food was very reasonably priced and the meat portion was incredibly generous. However the chips, salad and vegetable components on the dishes where very average. The kids menu is your normal offerings of chicken nuggets/strips and chips, fish and chips etc.
Leagues club is very handy to our accommodation just across the road. The Food is very reasonably and the entertainment was great. Enjoyed our night.
Club renovations are underway but the club is clean and inviting. There is an attractive Thai restaurant on the ground floor but I tried the upstairs Bistro which is in need for refurbishment. Had a Sunday roast lunch of pork and vegetables which was tasty but not spectacular. Counter staff contradicted each other with one saying the meat was pork and the other saying it was lamb - could not sort it out. They were young and not well versed in customer service
Even though the club was undergoing renovations the service was fast & friendly. Great food. Would recommend a visit.
We stay nearby. Take most meals here. Inexpensive and simple choices. Staff generally friendly. Bar staff feel the pressure when busy. Let locals/ regulars push in. Result is we now have functions at Frenchville Club. Unfortunate.
