My sister and I were out with our 90 year old grandmother who has Alzheimer's. My grandmother insisted on paying so when she did she made an honest mistake and didn't tip to the proper 20% as is custom. I noticed that and was going to give Carol the proper tip on the way out the door as I did not want to embarrass my grandmother. Instead of getting the receipt after we had left the restaurant Carol came and took it prematurely. She returned a few seconds later to confront my grandmother about the lack of tip. As someone who has Alzheimer's she was very confused by the whole situation and very embarrassed. As someone who has served in the service industry I have never thought of preforming such a distasteful act or heard of anyone doing such a thing. I would recommend proper training as this was the lowest of the lows to be preformed in a place of service.
We stayed in Rockport a couple of days and our Airbnb host recommended Feather Wedge. Turned out she was right! The experience was great from start to finish. Our server was attentive courteous and the food was beyond good. My wife enjoyed the Linguine Vongole and I couldn't stop raving about the Local Sole Meunière! Both were plated in a very appealing manner and the taste of each dish was wonderful! The bonus was the live jazz music that started a few minutes after we sat down. A little close quarters but enjoyable overall.
We happened to be visiting Rockport and found this restaurant for dinner. We decided to sit inside but the outside area looked inviting with the heaters on. It 's a very small interior reminiscent of a NYC restaurant with exposed brick, great decor highlighting their name and unfortunately really close tables. Inside eating is totally hit or miss depending upon your neighbors . We actually had our neighbor lean in and ask us about our entrees. It was also awkward for our server when talking to us and basically invading the space of your neighbor. Bottom line- based on entree cost here should be more elbow room amongst diners. As others have mentioned, the acoustics really need to be addressed- it 's terrible. Our entrees were delicious and you can tell they source high quality ingredients and concentrate on only a handful of menu items. Craft cocktails were great and inventive. My only food criticism would be that desserts are an afterthought, which was really unfortunate. I had the affogato, which I enjoyed but it wasn 't served as it is in Europe. The server should have poured the coffee over the ice cream table side. I received a cup of coffee with virtually small remnants of ice cream floating, which totally loses the idea of this beverage. Also, there should be a choice of a liqueur or no liqueur. My spouse had the strawberry shortcake and it was a disaster. The strawberries were tart and the biscuit was small and almost seemed stale. Unfortunately, not a great finish to an otherwise tasty meals beverages. I hope they read this review and tweak some concerns. This restaurant has the potential to be a top notch dining experience! Great food, atmosphere and service with a modern elegant touch. But still great for a family. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Where to start... incredible! Highest food, drinks, aesthetics, wonderful atmosphere, service and food. My bartender was a consuming professional. The fresh Lobster Pasta was cooked and perfectly presented. The boss was phenomenal with my food. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
